This one is a really useful handbook of all that is important for teaching English grammar properly in foreign language classes. I especially like the variety of examples Scott Thornbury is working with in his book, throughout the chapters, all the examples are relevant and after a short evaluation and discussion section, everything is clearly explained and justified/5. We begin with a review of the parts of speech. Every word in a language can be put into one or more categories that explain how that word is used. Knowing what part of speech a word is will help you to translate Old English. There are, for our purposes in this simplified grammar book, seven parts of speech that you need to be able to recognize.

Grammar-Land, written in by M. L. Nesbitt, is a humorous and lighthearted approach to teaching t imaginatively personifies each part of speech, and the fun little stories and poems within the book given to the children of Schoolroom-Shire as exercises only add to the entertaining read/5. Grammar is a lot like mathematics. You learn a rule and then figure out how to apply it. Barring some exceptions, these rules are more or less universal, and can be applied to any conversation in that language. That's why following an English grammar book is such a useful study method. Just.
